This is something that I need to do all the time in my work and its absence means that I cannot adopt Ocenaudio as a replacement for Peak. (2) So far as I can see (but without a manual I cannot be sure) there is no way to apply fade-in or fade-out regions to a waveform. A comprehensive manual PLEASE folks, and SOON! It is frustrating that there are things that I know Ocenaudio can do - some of them very simple like moving the cursor to the start or to the end of a waveform - but it took me ages to figure out how to do them. (1) The software is crying out for a decent manual. I can see only two strikes against it, but both are serious: For free software Ocenaudio is an amazingly capable audio editor which can carry out almost all of the basic editing that I would have needed from the late lamented Bias Peak which I have used for many years.
